How We Started

In 1977, Wells And McElwee opened its doors in Athens with a simple mission: to provide personal injury victims with the same quality legal representation that large corporations receive — but with the personal attention of a small firm.

For nearly 50 years, we've served the families of Northeast Georgia through some of their most difficult times. Our growth has come almost entirely through referrals from past clients and other attorneys who trust us to take care of the people they send our way.
